SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

Tourism in harmony with the environment and the local culture

The Management of Anissa Beach & Village Hotel, based in Anissaras, Municipality of Hersonissos, Crete, in the context of its actions to ensure a sustainable way of operation of the hotel & having in mind the provision of high quality services aiming at a better future for itself and the local community, has formulated the following policy for sustainability.

The Hotel and its Management are committed to:

  • protect the environment at local and international level to the extent necessary
  •  properly utilize the resources it uses for its operation
  • respect the local community in which it is integrated, the culture, history, customs and traditions and the people who constitute it
  •  integrate and protect the local community and its characteristics actively
  •  respect and protect the employees and the guests of the hotel
  •  comply with any legislative or other requirement to which its activities fall and is related to ensuring the sustainability of the society included

Based on these commitments, the Hotel has developed:

In order to achieve these, the company proceeds to:

  • develop targeted actions described in each policy
  • the adoption of international standards and the design of targeted management systems to achieve individual objectives
  • inform all the bodies with which it cooperates and/or is associated about the actions it has developed.
  • the training and sensitization of its staff aiming at their active participation
  • inform the customers about environmental actions in order to encourage their active participation

Staff at all levels of the company are aware of the Sustainability Policy
of the Company and is obliged to contribute to its Implementation.
The Management of the Company is committed to supporting the implementation of the Policy.

FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT POLICY

Quality and safety for our guests

The Management of the Anissa Beach & Village Hotel, located in Anissaras of Crete, as part of the actions taken in order to manage food safety, having as its guiding principle the provision of high quality services, the sustainable use of food and the safety of its customers, has formulated the following Food Safety Policy.

The Hotel and its Management are committed to:

  •  provide food & beverages of high safety and quality
  •  ensure them from hazzards, protecting the health of the guests and consumers as a whole and to ensure the bilaterally agreed requirements of the customers for food safety
  • comply with the legislative and regulatory provisions

 

For the success of the above, the company takes care of:

  •  To use excellent raw materials from evaluated suppliers
  •  To train the staff who handle food on matters of food hygiene and safety.
  •  To monitor the quality of its products by strictly applying the Food Safety and Hygiene System in accordance with the international standard ISO22000
  •  To review the suitability and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System it implements.
  •  To monitor and control its activities, having established measurable objectives.
  •  Address communication issues appropriately

The security policy is reviewed for continued suitability.
The food safety policy is communicated, implemented and adhered to at all levels & our staff at all levels and our suppliers are aware of the Hotel Food Safety Policy and are obliged to contribute to its implementation.
The Hotel Management is committed to support the implementation of the Policy.
